Students will be guided by local jeweler, Jillian Kazienko (www.bloomsandshrooms.com) as they work with an array of beautiful stones, beads, air dry clay, paint, wire, leather and string - to name a few - and explore the art of handmade jewelry. Each day will focus on a different method of fabrication, including string and wire wrapping, beading, basic knot tying, and more! In addition to the wide variety of materials provided at camp, students are welcome to bring pendents, beads, or special stones from home to personalize their pieces. Everyone will round out the week with an original collection of jewelry for their own enjoyment or to give as gifts. This camp is perfectly suited for the tween/teen crowd (as well as the younger campers). This is going to be a fun one!
